The Treellions Campaign is a youth-led pilot by LeadingSpace that placed over 1,000 indigenous and fruit tree seedlings into the hands of everyday Nairobians, transforming everyday spaces into climate action points.
Just a few kilometres from the Uganda border, volunteers and students came together at Kimwanga Special School. We planted fruit and indigenous trees, shared stories, and left behind more than trees — we left a piece of our hearts.

After surviving countless seasons, colonial battles, and the relentless march of time, this ancient guardian finally bowed to the forces of nature—a harsh reminder that when climate change knocks, even the strongest fall.
This isn’t just nature doing its thing; this is nature reacting to the mess we’ve made. If a tree that’s stood for nearly a thousand years can be uprooted by climate change, what else is at risk? The time to act is now, before more giants fall, and we’re left with nothing but regret.
